Life at The Fortescue: The secrets behind running the best pub in Plymouth

No frills, bells or whistles - this is a straight up boozer where the banter is off the charts and the ale flows like water.

It's a haven for die hard locals - but visitors are welcomed with open arms.

It's handy if you love a good ale - there's a row full of hoppy, malty, smooth, fizzy, well-rounded, locally-brewed beers for you to try.

This week The Fortescue celebrated success after receiving a plaque from the Campaign for Real Ale for being the best pub in Plymouth - now the fifth time in a row it's received the glowing honour.
