I am from Plymouth but I'm not a Janner.

Sorry but according to the lyrics of The Janner Song you are most definately.

Well in England's South West is the county that's best,
full of rolling green hills and a coast that's been blessed,
and inside of the Sound lie the three Plymouth towns,
were everyone's known as a Janner.

(Chorus) Janners, Janner, down in Plymouth we're all known as Janners

and, 'When they pull on the Green shirt they're all Janners'

can these musical Janners make up their mind as to what qualifies......

I thought that to be a Janner you had to be born within earshot of the Dockyard siren?

Which is bizarre because you can’t hear it in most of Plymouth. Devonport and Stonehouse yes, but not Plymouth or Illogan. It’s almost as if someone made the whole thing up.
