I've sometimes wondered how losers keep their spirits up while the inevitable unfolds. I'm about to find out. When Shilts went down, it wasn't the same thing at all, but it was when the NWO were heading for the ice. My first guess is it's no big deal, just every scrap of scran counts when you're immediately hungry, even though the end is inevitable. But that's way down the road, and in some ways what else can be done when one doesn't have any control, apart from changing the rules of the game and kicking the king into touch.
Maybe it's not even a loser thing, maybe some folk just like to be passively rocked and go with the flow, as long as it doesn't get too close to home, I mean, it's only footy.

There aren't any although that won't stop Newell selling loads of signed shirts, boots and balls from the great event in six months time or so. Hell probably save them to deflect attention from another huge embarrassing own goal that we all know will be coming soon.
