So the £3bn overseas deal for 2016-19 generates £39m a year for each PL club. Under pressure from the six richest clubs, the PL chairman Scudamore has proposed ending the equal sharing of international broadcasting income and replace it with a payout linked to league position. But that plan has been met with resistance and the so-called 'Big Six' - Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal, Spurs, Liverpool and Chelsea - want their greater global popularity reflected. The so called big 6 are also afraid of the ''Leicester'' situation thus reducing their cut.

Remember when the PL was formed?

It was all about the Big 5 then: Arsenal, Everton, Liverpool, Man Utd and Tottenham, wasn't it?

And in the seventies teams like Derby, Notts Forest and Leeds, shorely having winners and losers are what leagues and competitions are about? Football needs divorcing from the business element that is destroying it.
