Planning application now validated and docs online.

In short: shop becomes bar; ticket office becomes kitchen; club shop becomes smaller moving into stores / offices behind existing shop tills; new (typical site office sized) portakabin becomes ticket office; new portakabin storage for shop; new portakabin toilets.

The application is on behalf of GT's who will run bar and is for period until Mar 2020 and also retrospectively covers lapsed planning for marquee and club offices.

But Jimmy said there was no point to any refurbishment because there will be a new grandstand drektly? That's why we should be happy with bogs the inmates of Tenko would complain about.

Can anyone explain why the club - that's PAFC, evidently don't want anything to do with a supporters bar?

When Brent's lashed up HHP debacle was in the making, even then there was no definite commitment to a supporters bar inside the mini-stand.

If it's deemed as potentially non-profit making, why should a third party take the risk?

I think you answered your own question, James 'spend' money on the club he loves.......

Openness, honesty, transparency. Very Happy

It's rather ironic that we seem to be a stage where the third of those promises is being actively demonstrated - but obviously not in the manner that Brent would have had us all believe. Much of the fanbase can now SEE RIGHT THROUGH his charade of pretence when it comes to looking after PAFC's best interests.

The planning application for the 'supporters bar' or Far Post Club' replacement as Postey has said has now been validated and registered (ref:16/0067/FUL). Quite why it took so long to get the level of detail necessary to determine the application submitted (over 100 days) is difficult to understand when looking at the actual plans submitted.

Essentially, the proposal submitted by the Football Club is for four new portable buildings and the regularisation of the existing portable buildings, that form the club officers, shop, and ticket offices at Higher Home Park. Throughout James Brent's ownership of the club the existing portacabins (and the GTs marquee) never have had the benefit of planning permission. I assume it was thought that they would be temporary and removed as part of the HHP development.

The submitted plans show that the new bar (to be run by the GTs) according to the accompanying statement, will occupy the space now occupied by the Club Shop. The kitchen will be where the existing ticket office is. Excluding the kitchen, the space for the new bar is smaller than the marquee.

The Club Shop will relocate to where the rear storeroom is now and be approximately half the size of the existing shop. A new portacabin will located in front of where the Club Shop is now (on the car park) and this will be the ticket office. No plans have been submitted to ascertain what this may look like, where the access points may be.

The other planning application is to regularise the GTs marquee which does not currently have planning permission. Also part of this application, submitted by Gary McGuire of the GTs, is a proposal to extend the Football Club changing rooms.

The above clearly raises more questions than answers. The HHP land is within the ownership of HHP Nominee Limited having been transferred out of the Football Club ownership for £465,000 (the market value established by the District Valuer). That company is part of the group of companies owned by James Brent under Natatomisam Limited. The Football Club is owned by Akkeron Leisure Limited and like his other companies, ultimately by Natatomisam. The HHP Nominee Limited accounts do not show the HHP land as an asset. Indeed, the accounts show a value of £200 with £24 in the bank. Perhaps the value of the HHP land lies somewhere else within James Bent's group of companies? It is not possible to find out as there is a provision in the Natatomisam accounts not to list intercompany transfers.

So, some questions?

Why is the club shop going to be significantly reduced in size, particularly at a time, as seen pre-match at the opening game it was so busy.

If the GTs are going to run the marquee and the new bar as the only hospitality facilities available to supporters without ground, do they pay rent for the privilege and who to?

Where will the profits from the operation of the outside of ground hospitality facilities go? The Football Club has ambitions to drive up revenues to assist team building and profit from food and drink operations are part of that.

As the HHP land is not now owned by the Football Club do the Football Club pay rent for the use of the Club Shop and administrative offices? If so who is it paid to?

I want to make it clear that the above questions are in no way a criticism of the GTs as they have done a remarkable job as being the heartbeat of the club and as a magnificent fundraising organisation. Gary McGuire is often the 'go to' person to get things done and we should all be grateful for that.

No, these questions are directed at the Board. The delivery of the new supporters bar has been fraught with delay, lack of dynamism and perhaps a failure to understand the desire of the supporters to have a bar of their own where they can meet pre and post-match without having to contribute substantially to the profits of Wetherspoons.

All this comes at a time when the Football Club Board are considering buying the freehold of the stadium and is no wonder, that this supporter, in particular, is becoming more worried about the direction of off field matters as far as the Football Club is concerned, not least given the admission that the new grandstand now has no timescale..

A lot on these Boards have been rightly and justifiably worried ever since Brent hatched the farcical HHP plan, Graham. For years and up until recently, ATD was the only outlet for publicising those concerns after Pasoti fell under the extended umbrella of PAFC.

Nicey nicey gently gently doesn't register on Brent's radar. Asking politely for months on end, and in some cases not asking at all (thanks AFT) has the same result - stoney silence from the club.

He's a shyster.

It wouldn't surprise me one bit if the ultimate aim in halving the size of the shop is so he can justify halving the number of shop staff.

As I say....shyster.
