PLYMOUTH Argyle officials are anticipating an attendance in excess of 13,000 for the Devon derby against Exeter City at Home Park on Saturday.

With the Pilgrims five points clear at the top of the table and playing their arch rivals there has been a strong demand for tickets.

It is on target to beat the highest attendance of the season so far, which was 11,476 for the visit of Portsmouth on August 15.

Argyle chief executive Martyn Starnes told Herald Sport: "Ticket sales are going really well and I'm certainly expecting the gate to be very strong.#

"We are monitoring it very closely to see whether we will need to announce it's all ticket before the end of the week.

"We are keeping our options open on that at the moment, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was in the ballpark of 13,000-14,000."

Forgot to ask if you could pay on the gate.
