Spent the flight home from holiday in the company of Nicky Jennings and his wife, now lives in Bournemouth, left Argyle at the same time I left for military service.

His in-laws used to live across from me and I can remember going over on Xmas Day twice to ask him to sign my new boots. Nice guy and a good winger.

Same here, remember him as a very tricky left winger in the mid 1960's in the same team as people like Newman, Jones and Bickle. Sold to Pompey at a criminally low price ,so typical Argyle-served Pompey very well for years and I think he ended up at Exeter, vaguely remember him playing down here for them.

Me too. First Argyle side I watched was Jennings, Trebilcock, Lord, Jones, Newman, Nelson, Book, Johnny Williams, Neale, Baird, McClaren etc. One of the best 2 or 3 left wingers I have seen for Argyle.

Didn't Jennings also have the rather engaging habit of allowing the ball to go through his legs for a throw in ?

Your right he did and also had an engaging habit of sticking it through the legs of the full back, just loved seeing him turning the FB inside out, best winger ever for Argyle
