The state that the closed Quality Inn (former Mayflower Post House) has been allowed to fall into is a disgrace to the city. For goodness sake demolish and rebuild it. Must be on one of the finest sites in Britain.

that whole area needs revamping like so much of central plymouth.

I was down in Plymouth on Thursday and I could not believe the state of it. I stayed there a few years ago and it was a dump, but the views were amazing. I cannot for the life of me understand how that hotel is not a success with its location and views. Maybe people prefer the view from the Copthorne - it does have views of a roundabout and a car park.

With the obsession of turning everything into student accommodation I can't believe that it hasn't been turned into flats - but maybe PCC like the current decor of graffiti and fire damage.
