I wasn't aware that Peter Ridsdale was still at Preston until earlier, but he is now employed as an advisor! Seeing as he's not allowed to be any kind of Director.

With this is mind I would've thought that Clueless Carl would be a shoe-in for the newly vacant Preston manager's job.

Ridsdale appointed him when he sacked Peter Reid and advised Brent that he was doing a spiffing job so it might be worth enquiring at your local bookies what price Fletcher is for the job.

Nah, Ridsdale knew at the time it was a cheap option which would keep the players on board.

Look through the Preston squad for an equivalent though!

Looks like Ridsdale is working his magic at Preston. When he joined Preston last season he sacked Phil Brown with Preston in 10th, having been in the play off area for most of the season. They are now in 17th, without a home win since September and 5 points off the relegation area.

All the important fans at Argyle couldn't get enough of him though! He was a godsend

Yep, they've also had a bit of collective amensia over the 500k that he 'accidentally' had paid into his own bank account to avoid paying tax.
