Here we go, the same old deferral routine Empty

At last, after all the "we've got two weeks to sort it" two weeks ago, we now have 10 October bandied around as the first concrete date for completion by Brent.
IJN, mindful of his promise to deliver a compliant online fanbase, has said that would be the absolute worst case scenario for a sale.
Brent, on the other hand, is saying it's optimistic. And so on and on we go, with various people stretching and stretching the date out further and further, bit by bit. And we haven't even started yet on the public frightfest.

This now means not only the September and October wages not paid in full, but another deferral in November.... it will be the end of the season soon. Thank gawd someone had the sense to buy off the strike leaders with nice new jobs .. eh.... this is going to run and run with Pasoti Trust fully compliant in the ongoing disgrace. I thought everyone was working for months on a smooth well oiled rescue plan..... piffle.

Edited to add: Things moving quickly. Hopefully, it appears Brent might not be such a horror as Heaney. Details are sketchy, but it's reported Brent sees the logic of actually paying his future staff while he concludes his deal. If that is the case, well done ... we shall see.

10% was offered out of the last match revenue but that was rejected by the players, so a far better offer was tabled and accepted. Not entirely sure whether this is an addition to September's pay or a deferral of October's pay. Anyway 12% was the better offer and the deferrals were signed.

So, basically Pete, our soft spoken Mr Brent is not putting any of his money toward paying the staff any more than Heaney did... and yet we are told it's all but a done deal ..... charming behaviour, I must say, and not a good start for most people's favourite bidder. Brent's words are very fine, sound great, just like the rhetoric of Pasoti Trust and Ridsdale.
Good job they've got their buckets on the go and the plans for the mother of all parties.
Maybe Brent intends to build staff alms house in place of student accomodation.

That's about right pp I also understand that there will be an extra payment made out of the money from the next home game. What is owed to the staff is going to be paid in full but with a percentage when the deal is done and then payments over the next 5 years.

Or maybe he wants to get his hands on the prize before outlaying cash as some form of charitable donation to a company that could be liquidated with practically a moments notice. ESPECIALLY when the former directors, the real villains of the peace, are still trying to scupper a deal by influencing a creditor (Lombard).

I think you're judging Brent by other people's standards.
