I was amazed at the gulf in class between the two sides. Premier League best in the world?.............

Didn't watch it. Predictable.

Spanish league, like the Scottish is a 2 horse race.

When was the last time any team other than Utd or Chelsea won the Prem ?

I haven't watched a great deal of TV football recently,being utterly fed up with it all ATM,but i did make the effort last night and must admit that Barcelona were spell binding,the most fluent team i've seen for many years,possibly since Brazil in 1970 or 1982.United were completely outclassed,as Freathy says,the gap between the sides was massive.If they keep that team together,they could dominate Europe for years to come,none of our teams look remotely like challenging them.

Arsenal have within the last decade.

Barcelona were superb and its hard to see how teams compete with them. They are as good off the ball as they are on it. They never result to hoofing the ball, and played the occasional corner into the box (most went back down the touchline to keep possession).

United were mullered and when the second barca goal went in, Fergie looked like he'd given up.

Very predictable. The gulf in class was huge.

Let's face it, this isn't a great United side. Good enough to win the league, but not half as strong as maybe even they were 5 years ago.

Barca are a different animal though.
