Write up about Fletcher in The Independent

Just read the article, what a pathetic ill informed piece - "big future" my arse!

Not a bad article. Fletcher hopefully will have a big future, but to quote an old footballing phrase, he took this club as far as he could.

Which wasn't actually very far, but you know what I mean.

I just don't see what he's basing this bright future on. A 24% win rate is horrendous, with baffling tactics and playing strikers to head away corners. If Fletch is serious he needs to pay his dues as a coach somewhere first.

Who wrote that shite? was it olly clappy from the farm?

Our City chums might add Neil mcnab or John cornforth. Steve mean was pretty hopeless too

I cant see how people think fletcher will have a big future? What he did last season wasnt even special, sticking 11 men behind the ball, not conceding very often, and occasionally grab a scrappy goal meaning that most games will end in draws. He was so lucky that miraculously there were two teams worse than us. Never have i seen a more clueless guy attempt to manage a football team, only Argyle would have kept him on for as long as we did.

But who kept the "legend" in the job?

They are just as guilty of our desperate position in the league, a mass clear out is needed starting with the brothers grimm

Hodges came close..but at least Hodges sides could pull off the odd result here and there , sometimes putting a few goals away.
With Fletch it was consistently dull as dishwater.
Utterly useless.

In The real Independent FFS, I assumed it was that quality Westcountry production. Whatever bampot wrote it after a careful analysis of the results ought to be punished with a season ticket to HP for life.

Seriuoslt, Claridge is there but you can use the term pundit loosely, noticed how Rosenior who talks alot of sense is more frquent this season on the fl show

Shockingly Fletcher's win ratio 17/70 (24.2%) is actually worse than Carlton Palmer's who I always rated as the worst league manager that I can remember being in a job for any length of time. His was 35/133 (26.3%).

Has to have been written by a aviva beard and probably never heard of Plymouth Argyle before Fletch got the boot.
