Usual player ratings

Here we are...

Gilmartin - 5 - Made 2 good saves, but kicking was woeful and he certainly doesn't like corners.
Nelson - 7 - Proving to be a solid defender at both CB and RB
Purse - 6 - 1 big cock up that lead to their sitter, otherwise ok and was the man tasked with dealing with Howe, a tough task.
Blanchard - 7 - A good solid game, back to his usual good form.
Williams - 7 - Did well defensively and going forward, unlucky with the free kick.
PCH - 6 - He's alright, a bit clumsy, conditions didn't really suit him today, some good things, some bad things.
Young - 3 - as usual people are raving about him, thought he was poor and non existent, robbed on to many occasions, some good cross field balls. Why do people cream their underwear over him? He's a very average-poor league 2 player.
Hourihane - 5 - Was very average, didn't see much from him, awful shooting but kept his position and did some decent defensive stuff.
Bhasera - 7 - Much better from Baz, great pace and skill, linked well with Robbie.
Chadwick - 5 - not as bad as usual, did ok, hustled away and gave it his all I thought, unfortunately his all still won't be good enough.
Harvey - 9 - Simply, thats how a striker should play.

Griffiths - 4 - usual laziness and poor ability.

He seemed to have a bit of a free role imo. At times up front, at times deeper/wider. Either way, it IS how a striker or at the least a forward player should play. He can score, create, win the ball, keep the ball and defend. Great all rounder if today is anything to go by.

no what your describing is a Attack Midfielder playing in a link role between upfront and midfield not a striker's role.

We'll have to disagree, I think he played different roles at different times. At times he played deep in a link role, but at times he was the one playing just as high as Chadwick, depending on when we needed it.

He played like a very intelligent forward and a very hard working one .A stunning debut .
