It amounts to the most united front I have ever seen as far as Argyle and the Internet is concerned. Other abusers should be aware!

I notice on Hooper's twitter that he seems to indicate that he was at the Rotherham game. I guess he will now be taking action after the Jimmy Savile chants that were heard coming from the Argyle end?

What's that? he was in the toilet at the time and didn't hear them so won't be taking any action Laughing

I see pasoti are advertising the latest Susan Boyle CD. There's lots of jokes about Ms Boyle and Jimmy Savile, so I hope Tony will be taking action against pasoti with this OUTRAGE. Look out James, Tudor and Viv! Very Happy

He won't have seen them Ali. When it comes to seeing things that offend him anywhere else but on ATD Mr. Hooper seems to be rather "Wengeresque" Smile

Which is surprising for a PI. You'd think he'd be much more observant.

At the risk of pouring oil on troubled waters. I've just read this on pasoti from Tony Hooper. I can't possibly be reading this right. Can I?

We had a wonderful break, so much the better coming so close after France, thank you for asking.

Mrs TC saw the lake Mr Darcy swam in (Lyme Park), we revisited old haunts over the Peaks and culminated in Rotherham where the BNP were having a rally. Excellent.

On this occasion I think we must give him the benefit of the doubt. I see he is digging a bigger and bigger hole on Pasoti today, so many double standards, so many ironic comments, so much avoiding the questions posed. Sometimes it is better to say nothing and just let people make a bigger and bigger twot of thenselves.

I don't think Hooper was involved in the BNP parade (I'm sure on another thread he denounces it). I think he means that whilst he was in Rotherham (for the Argyle game) that the BNP rally was also taking place- I'm guessing the 'Excellent' comment is sarcasm.

He might be a gutless coward, but I'm pretty certain he's no BNP-er.

In the dim distant days of early last year, I am fairly sure that Tony came out very firmly against any discrimination. As Ali says, he may be a number of things, but I don't think he would join any BNP slime-trail.

Whilst I'm here, I have some admiration that Tony is sticking by his principles on Savillegate. Principles are good. I also like that he has answered some of the questions on that subject.

I just happen to think that all the questions about Jockgate have gone unanswered.

I think we need to clear something up.

Jockgate I was the Bres land/Wrathall saga

Jockgate II is the PI allegations

Me too. The problem, once again, is that anyone reading that who didn't know him better would be drawn to the word 'Excellent' immediately after the words 'BNP Rally'. The inference that could easily be taken from that post is that PASB member Tony Hooper thinks BNP demos are 'Excellent'; and thus is the PASB bought into disrepute by him, once again.

Doesn't he understand that he's now an elected Board representative? He has a duty to act in a way that doesn't bring the PASB (and by extension the club) into disrepute; and yet he does this.

I said several times during the election period that I felt Tony's judgement and attention to detail were too lax for him to be a suitable PASB rep. Every day that passes is seeing that view vindicated.

Not to mention as I have many times his description and characterisation of Trust nominees and candidates as plebs, waifs and strays and puppets. Hardly a ringing endorsement or working foundation fr his new colleagues.

Principles went out the window when he refused to engage and campaign against FanFest jokes and Argyle fans chants because he didn't hear them.

I see the first meeting of the PASB's been called. Hooper (henceforth known as the peacemaker for his renewed attempts to brush his past misdeeds under the carpet) seems to be planning to be there.

Anybody ever organised a picket?

Suspect

With that shite going out he won't be resigning anytime soon.

He'll see that as a victory!

Argyle can feck right off if they think they can tell me what jokes I can and can't tell.

Do you think his offer of a lift with him anytime still stands?

I could put my "Tony Hooper Resign Now" placard in the boot.

If that really is the club responding to Hooper's call to arms over a few gags from sickipedia that have been cut-and-pasted on to ATD, then may I humbly suggest that someone at Argyle has too much time on their hands.

It's more likely that its a response to the chants at Rotherham that, miraculously, Hooper failed to hear clearly.

Quote:
All members of the PASB, both elected and nominated, have been invited to the inaugaral meeting to be held at the club next Friday, 9th November.

It is being described as informal and a chance for new faces to meet each other.

Between 7.30pm and 8.30pm there will be a joint meeting with the Club Board

I can't say what I wanted to say on pasoti but tried my best to give a measured response. I wanted to give him a Greenjock style tirade but I've already had a comment removed in that thread.
