PostSubject: Tony Hooper Should Resign From The PASB   Wed Oct 24, 2012 2:05 pm

We should all, by now, have seen the thread on pasoti where Tony Hooper tries to portray ATD as a site being moderated by apologists for paedophilia, racism and homophobia, amongst other things.

If you've looked at ATD's Site Section you will have seen the full transcript of the email that the Mods sent to Tony. It is a world away from the selectively edited snippets that Tony 'quoted' in his attack upon this site, its users and Moderators.

Tony has just been elected, by the skin of his teeth, to the newly formed Plymouth Argyle Supporters Board. A Board which was established in order to give fans representation and scrutiny of the club at the highest levels. PASB Supporters representatives were elected in order to fully represent all club Members.

Tony has shown by his actions today that he is incapable of fulfilling that role. This site has numerous Club Members (Season Ticket holders) posting on it - myself included, but also Trust Leaders, other PASB members and indeed club staff.

By posting as he has today, Tony has shown himself to be of a mindset that would rather stir up ill-feeling between fans rather than work to represent them. Indeed it is to the credit of numerous pasoti posters that their reaction to Tony's accusations are as angry and appalled as the reaction on here.

Tony Hooper, by this one action has today shown himself to be utterly unfit to represent Argyle Fans at any level, least of all in dealings with the Chairman and Board of Directors. He should resign from the PASB immediately.

I agree. Hooper must resign as his position is untenable.

I agree.

He won't answer questions on investigating an Argyle fan and his family which led to said Argyle fan receiving various threats.

He has now taken it upon himself to contact MP's, the Herald and James Brent over a false paedophilia campaign.

And has tried to create a war between two Argyle fans sites.

Resign please.

Whatever the circumstances Tony Hooper would be the last person to resign his position. His inflated opinion of himself brooks no self doubt or consideration of the opinions of others, a totally unsuitable person to represent fans "inclusively".

He won't give up his badge and gun for anything.

If a new election was called tomorrow and he wasn't elected I think they would have to scrape his body out of the Directors Box. In fact they would need a snooper scooper Razz

He had little too no creditably to hold such a position to begin with and this has killed off the rest. He should resign an quick before he is allowed to destroy the PASB before its even began.

His defence of consistency is accurate inasmuch as he did stand up against the Michael Jackson thread on pasoti. That much I would give him willingly.

However, his current campaign is so wide of the mark that it is laughable.

Agree totally, if he doesn't resign then someone on the board should have a quiet word in his ear.

What on earth was he thinking when he made that post? Complete misjudgement on his part, which in itself, is enough to make his position untenable.

The Cliff Richard joke linking Argyle with homophobia, I intend to write to James Brent too in case he has not heard it.

He should go absolutely no doubt about it, but instead he's going to take a few days off and "normal service will be resumed on Sunday". Not the first time he's hidden from difficult questions. Resign now please and never ever try and represent any of us again.

Agree - of course he should resign.

He's said he's not going to, though. Well, that comes as a huge surprise.

I used to think knowing how to behave properly was something we learned as we got older. But he's even older than me and he still hasn't learnt how to behave properly.

Coarse and blue jokes are certainly not my scene, but has no one told this Hooper chap of Bernard Manning or Jethro, or, as Damon mentioned, Rick up at the fan fests ? ... this country is what it is.
Nothing but a thinly disguised very, very unpleasant attack on the fans that use this forum. I'm appalled, and he should resign. Just how on earth is this sort of thing going to help the two websites coexist or the Argyle cause in general ? I feel the PASB have got a self regarding loose cannon they're going to regret.

I have not seen the offending post on the other site so if somebody could link me to it I would be pleased, my initial reaction is shock, what a terrible post to place on a football forum or any forum, as I say I would like to see it but reading what you all have said there is no doubt in my mind that Tony H has a major problem if he alleges that ANY poster on this site is as he describes.

It's a sad comment from someone who is perhaps going through a difficult time but THAT is no excuse. He did not receive the ringing endorsement that he felt he should have in the Election but this is not how you vent your frustration.

I am sure his fellow elected colleagues on the PASB are as shocked as I am, they will make their feelings known to him for sure, also they should distant themselves from his comments especially as many post on here and are included in his general wording. As for me I just despair that once again someone is trying to cause a rift between football forums that are united in one aim, a wish to see the team we have supported for years rise up the Leagues if possible.

I await sight of this post but if 100% correct then to resign would be the correct way forward, in my opinion.

Hooper is in the inner sanctum now, put there with a mandate from a deeply flawed process.

Another useful idiot to be manipulated by, and act under the orders of the unelected twatterati in the Directors box.

What would be really interesting now is a poll to see how many people who voted for Hooper the snooper in the PASB elections would vote for him again after today?

So Tony's had an argument with Jock on the Herald website and so Tony has a look around ATD and notices a 'joke' by Jock that he thinks other people will find distasteful and then makes a massive issue about it that nobody else supports? Is that the story here? And he actually wrote to the Leader of Plymouth City Council and James Brent about it?

Tony, you've gone stark raving mad. What are you doing?

Pretty much hairy, and he still won't answer the questions being put to him.

Oh and postey is the only person on Pasoti trying to stick up for his mate. Having a dig at Tim Chown for having his say. Pl2 faced is unbelievablely asking if Tim is speaking on behalf if the Trust! Are you speaking on behalf of deepthroat?

As you rightly point out hairy, Tony hasn't got a problem with the slightly racist or the piss take out of Cliff Richard being gay joke, even though I see Hooper the snooper as a sir cliff/ Daniel O'Donnell fan.

I'm sure there have been just as many iffy jokes told at all the fanfests that Tony attends, but apparently he never hears them. A shit private investigator who is hard of hearing. Didn't see that in his PASB election profile.

If you suspect your phone is being tapped, maybe the faint voice constantly saying pardon? Could you speak up please, will confirm it.
