There are no legal threats or blackmail. I am sure the thread will be back once the mods have had a look at it. They are just playing it safe out of respect for a good guy.

I thought the whole ethos of ATD was to allow freedom of speech provided it remained within the law?

The 'Coincidence' thread libelled no-one, contained nothing that could possibly be interpreted as 'outside the law'

What it did contain was a neat piece of detective work that possibly answered a question that has been asked by many posters, both on here and on PASOTI.

It was my decision and mine only. We have enough games being played behind the scenes at the moment and I didn't want to add to them.

Yes ATD is a site with free speech etc but I don't see what can be gained from anyone naming nikkk publicly. I hope the thread doesn't go back up because it will just give Newell the ammunition to say ATD caused nikkk to stop donating towards the club.

It doesn't name him, it just suggests a possible coincidence.

If a member wants to do that, then imo that's up to that poster. Do we limit the right to free speech in this case as if *we're* the ones who have something to hide, or do we allow members to speculate, rightly or wrongly, if they so wish?

Edit: Newell's opinion doesn't come into it. The fundraising/nikkk donating will stop when they decide it will stop, and won't be anything to do with an ATD poster.

Jock, the thing is mate is Newell, Twofaced etc. will blame this site for anything anyway, it's how they score their brownie points in their desperate attempts for control. If Nikk should stop donating then that will be because of Newell and Co's underhand tactics anyway.

I think the mods were right to remove it as they should anything that they are unsure of, but I look forward to reading it when it's returned.

Maybe so but there is nothing to be gained from putting the thread back up, and a penalty kick for the usual sources to use it as a stick to beat us with.

I have a feeling this thread will be back sooner rather than later. There's nothing wrong with the mods have a little contemplation when something breaks but this is what ATD is for, it'll be back I'm sure.
