Yes, quite. The Mickeys look even more silly every year thinking they are going to win the title. Over 20 years without a title after dominating for so long must drive them to distraction. What a shame!

You also get superfans, in elevated positions with the club, who create spoof twitter accounts (for example @ArgyleMoans) and then when they try to take the piss and fail miserably and you expose them, they then block you with their real twitter accounts! Unfortunately (for Spooner) twitter blocks are rubbish. I only asked a couple of questions about IP's......

There is a much better thread from that Scousers site, involving someone admitting to watching animal porn and being surprised at the responses he got Razz

Why do people always refer to a period that they're winning fuckall, or anticipate winning fuckall, as "transition"? If you keep sacking your manager cos he's shit, or he leaves for pastures new 'cos your team is shit, that isn't transition, that is a permanent state of being in the doldrums. Apart from one or two notable exceptions, the doldrums is exactly where Liverpool have been for over 20 years, and show no sign of that changing any time soon.

Don't say that to a Mickey, they have a God given right to win the league every year. Argyle fans get accused of being deluded a lot, but I can't imagine what it would be like to support Liverpool. How they must wish the back pass rule never changed.

There are of course the 'I told you so' brigade, who constantly predict doom on the basis that they know that they'll be right about 50% of the time. However the article seems to be suggesting people do the opposite, and take a permanent 'support the boys at all costs' point of view. The problem with this is that it stops you looking at things critically. No matter how much we might not want it to be the case, football is run like a business now. Its no longer just 11 local lads kicking a ball around, its a large squad of well paid guys, with a phalanx of businessmen behind the scenes pulling the strings and trying to make money. With this situation comes greater expense for fans. If you were just paying a couple of quid each week to watch a game it wouldn't really matter particularly how that money was being spent, or whether it is 'worth it', because the amount involved is reasonably trivial. But football is so expensive now people HAVE to actively consider whether it is worth it or not, where their money is going and whether their club is being run in a way they find acceptable. Just saying that you should put up with whatever is 'delivered' to you from the football club makes you a potential mug. As an example there were plenty of hardcore 'green tints' on PASOTI who refused to acknowledge that the magnificent seven were driving us into the ground, even when it was obvious to anyone with any sense what was happening. They were happy demanding that people 'just support the team' and ignore what was going on in the background. The end result was that people who put a lot of money into the club basically got taken for a ride.
