I found an Argyle season ticket for season 2012-13 nailed to a tree (after the Preston game). I said, I'm having that.... You can never have enough nails lol!

You won't necessarily think differently Cobi. Choice to go or not whatever you pay is individual and you may still think it is a good day out with football on the side.

I got my "package" today by collecting it. Glad I did because if I'd paid £5 to have it posted I would have felt quite cheated. Before any wag jumps in I'm talking purely about the postage costs. You could easily get the content in an envelope of the flat variety. It contained very little which was a bit of a come down after all the publicity about the packages. Like a few other things so far was a bit underwhelmed.

What's in it then? Is it a covering letter and a card? It can't be just what Cobi's posted.

Card, card order ticket. Letter from the chairman (pretty standard stuff). A neck chain thing to hang the season ticket from. A fixture booklet.

A neck chain? Are you serious. What is a "card order ticket"?

Well it's one of those thinks you hang around your neck, like a staff badge. And just a waste of paper that you don't need for anything.

Erm... I'm rather underwhelmed. I thought it was going to be something pretty good. I'll have the card that lets me get through the gate - I can probably live without wearing it around my neck though. Don't they make disabled people wear those with their name and address written on them if they get lost.

Yeah that, pretty pointless to be honest.

the letter goes on about how he wants the ticket value to match the football value, well I only paid 60 quid for mine, what a silly thing to say Rolling Eyes

Some people just love those lanyards though. They have one for their library card and one for their bus pass, so why not one for their season ticket?

They also usually have a mobile phone holder on their belt and child porn on their laptop.

The "envelope" looks like it used to have a KFC apple pie inside until one burnt a woman an extra windpipe and they were banned. Fuckin shame because I reckon I could've got my mum to try one if she didn't stop yapping.

The contents could have been put in an ordinary envelope but then again there would have been no justification for £5 postage if it had been. Pity the postman because I delivered 2 to a mates house today and had to flatten the envelope to get it through the letterbox. It really really is naff and a big disappointment when opened and the contents revealed.

I thought someone was joking but my dad has just opened ours and rang me up with news. Another Argyle first - a lanyard for a season tickets.

Perhaps we should start Lanyards On Screen highlighting the knobbers who use them this season.

Why couldn't the ticket have just been posted as per normal without all the extraneous stuff? Had a conversation with another Argyle fan at golf this week,we agreed that it all seems rather pointless and would much rather have the ticket, plain and simple, sent to us.I hope the queue won't be too big on Tuesday night, may go down tomorrow and pick it up instead,15 mile drive though, thats the flicking problem.Maybe the lanyard is for fans to hang themselves with should things get too bad this season. The lanyard at Home Park is seen as a status simple amongst the elite super fans.

They must be pretty pissed that us commoners will soon be getting them soon.
