The Trust is holding a general meeting on Saturday 18th August before the first home league match.

The meeting will be at the Citybus Social Club, near Home Park, from 10am to noon.

More details will be released as the meeting approaches.

We're also hoping to arrange other events on the same day.

Pleased to see this meeting will be in two halfs with the second half open to non members, good initiative and another chance for fans to hear what James Brent has to say hopefully.

Well done to Charlie Wood on his re-election .Highwayman.

Tim, or any other Trust Board member who can answer:

As this meeting was organised as a result of some Trust members complaining that they would be unable to attend the AGM due to its midweek evening slot, could you confirm that those who complained loudest (Rapson and Jameson for example) were in attendance?

Don't be silly Andy, their job was to stir up as much shite as possible.

Rapson's been withdrawn as he was becoming too visible, Lee just can't help it. Tony's cause is helping the anti Trust brigade and of course there have been a few attacks this week from ex Trust leaders.

Of course the GASB looks like being a resounding success....! All the resources of the owner, the President, the Prof and the clubs most prominent supporters website and its still a shambles.

The thing is, Nick, the meeting yesterday would have been another drain on the Trust's resources. And as we know the Trust currently has bigger and better things to spend its money on. So the childish tantrums of a highly-strung, shit stirring few which led to this meeting being organised has undoubtedly cost the Trust money which is better kept for other things. Now I'm all for the Trust engaging with its membership, but when those who are most vitriolic about the date and time of the AGM don't even have the basic courtesy of attending the meeting that they called for - well I'd say it gives the rest of us the perfect excuse we need to tell them to feck right off next time they start spouting off, claiming that 'they care about the Trust.'

Mr Wall I have passed no comment for a while about the Trust and if anything have been supportive.

Andy please feel free to call me Lee.

Andy get your facts right nonody called for the meeting. Yet again you are wrong. The Trust decided to call the meeting. John Petrie agreed that having the original AGM on a week day was wrong!

Same happened with Northern Rock.

A few randomly selected quotes for Jameson at the time the original AGM was announced:

Quote:
What is sad my friend is the AGM being held on a Tuesday

Quote:
Can you please return my £10, this is not a request. In the history of man and supporters Trust I have never known an AGM to take place mid week. I am so angry I am contacting SD. This is totally Out order this Trust is a disgrace

Quote:
Get a grip mate, you really think it acceptable to hold a Trust AGM midweek?

And then it was topped off with this little gem:

Quote:
Yea yea get some ambition.

I left Plymouth because of people like you.

I Am pissed and thank the lord I am not so narrow minded as you. My eyes are dry and just thinking thank flip I am out of the place. Do your worse slag me off have another pop, I don't give a flip what you think.

Enjoy your life, but don't mistake me for somebody that cares!

Now I'd argue that a few of those quotes give the distinct impression that Jameson isn't at all enamoured of the idea of a Midweek AGM. And since the Trust Board were prepared to listen, albeit to just the small handful of Constant Moaners, they offered up the alternative of a SGM., on the morning of the first home game. And because Jameson is such a dedicated supporter, he'd have been in Plymouth for the first home game, wouldn't he?

So was that opportunity taken? Were the assorted attack dogs at the meeting?

And I may have missed something - but John Petrie is a co-optee on the Board, so hardly represents majority opinion on this issue, I would have thought; but that's largely a sideshow, because the Board did accomodate those who were so noisy in their opposition to a midweek AGM. It's just that those making the most noise again proved themselves to be empty vessels, and have shown once again that their claims to care about the future of the Trust are just so much hot air.

Took me all of 2 minutes.

Moving on? The SGM that you were so keen on was yesterday - the first home game of the season. Its a bit much asking people to move on from something that happened just over 24 hours ago.

Did you go to the SGM? Or the game?

What a shining wit you are.

Still, it doesn't hurt to occasionally remind people what a two-faced, back-stabbing bunch of inadequates you and your mates are where the Trust is concerned.
