Four years ago in October 2015 the nominal shareholding value of the Club was £1.2m. Simon Hallett first invested £500,000 in April 2016 taking the nominal value to £1.7m.

We are now at just over £16m nominal value with Simon and Jane Hallett's share being just over £15.5m. That includes the purchase of James Brent's shareholding to secure majority control and now his 97% holding.

The cancellation of the loan means a saving annually of around £225,000 in loan and interest repayments. That will help cash flow and the bottom line.

That is the size of Simon and Jane's investment in the Club. Never in all the years of supporting the Club did I expect anyone to invest at this scale in the Club and in this manner. It is an understatement to say we, as supporters, are eternally grateful in these difficult times of financing football, particularly in the lower Leagues.

Thank you, so much.

Isn't it a pity that Hallett wasn't approached during The WOR, anyway we now have an answer to the simpleton fuckwits demanding the name of a rich investor.

You are joking aren't you Hugh?

The great irony of course, is that if Simon Hallett had shown any interest in buying the club he would have been driven away by Nool, Webb and all the others who thought they were backing the right horse in Brent.

Another foreign investor coming to save the day? A half Yank at that? Are you joking? The truth is... The Hallett family would have been targeted in the same disgraceful way others were - see the official administration report from Guilfoyle to see proof that happened.

To see Newell and Postcody et al salivating over the largess of Simon Hallett is actually quite nauseating. I think Webb's silence on the matter speaks volumes.

Spot on Rickler. It was all part of a much bigger picture that started with Brent meeting his five directions mate in PCC, it was PCC, Brent and the dogs of wor all in it together from the start. Postey though was anti Brent and favoured Buttivant who he now seems to have erased from his memory.

He realises that simon, unlike the reluctant one doesnt need him. Trying to keep his cash flow up via the piggery by trying to stay in the loop.

does he still have that free seat inthe directors area?

Hallett probably takes the view they're completely persona non grata but better to go with the flow and in Newells case keep him close rather than then letting the lunatic spread bile on the Farm. Whats the phrase keep your friends close but your enemies closer.

Hallett will be well aware of Newells blatant attempts at leg humping.
