Another not very mundane story. After going for a quick pint before supper last night me and the missus bumped into some friends and ended up rolling into bed about 2am this morning. Not with our friends I hasten to add. Looking forward to a lie in we were rudely awakened at 7.45 am by a load of teachers and civil servants (that's not a slur they are just that) all wearing stove pipe hats with multitudes of Pheasant feathers emerging from every orifice, faces painted like green men and women and one guy dressed as kind of Druid with bells on his feckin ankles dancing in the road outside my house and all having a really roisterous time. After about ten minutes I opened the window and politely enquired why the fook they didn't go and meet up with Bees on whichever middle class enclave on the moors they were headed to once they had woken the whole feckin road up? My request was duly noted by most of my neighbours with the odd apology apart from Druid guy who did a kind of grinning bell rattling Morris dance and gave me the jazz hands as he laughed. I told him he was about a minute away from indulging in some naked wrestling in the road if he didn't fook off and quick at which point the leader bundled them all into cars and they fecked off in search of Uncle Tom.
I was so wound up then I just got up. Any sort of mass conformity tends to annoy me anyway but at 7.45am outside my bedroom it could end in tears, MARK MY WORDS! s1

Miserable old Sod!

(I feckin hate Morris dancers and feel when these people are dressed up it should be law that it is open season on them, be it shotgun or dogs.) Very Happy

Pitched up at Bonehill rocks last night. Can't see a thing this morning, and it's blowing. The Summer is over on Dartmoor.

Just coming home from Dartington cafe thing when we saw a massive meteor burn up right in front of us. It was an omen foreshore, I shall be keeping my eyes peeled for the event it was foretelling.

Even FOOKIN Lidls are at it now, has no one any shame? Bought some of their rather excellent counterfeit Twix bars today and they've shrunk to two thirds of the size. My and the wife had to share an extra bar between us to get the appropriate level of choccy goodness. When will this madness end? Think about the poor children.

When you buy a piece of standing wood or coppice by the acre you are allowed to cut wood from 24th of Setember known by a lot of woodsmen as ladies day. No one has ever been able to tell me why.
