Plymouth Argyle are said to value the alleged Reading and Sheffield United target at £300,000.

I think we should have a sweepstake as to what will be the most popular Aviva excuse for selling Lameiras.
I'm going for the bulk standard " You can't stop a player if he wants to go, the money will be useful" routine.

This has been offered on the farm

We’re in a fantastic position on player values. If he goes then I’m sure it’ll be a figure above and beyond his true valuation.

A £300k figure would fund 2 high earners for 12 months or 2 decent players for 18 months.

I’m pretty relaxed with players moving out because of the ability that Adams has of identifying players that he wants.

It’s a self fund squad improvement sale.

He forgets the bit where it's paid in instalments over a number of years to the point it's never heard of again. Do we still have regular transfer money coming in?

Well, for a start, I haven't seen any policy change, so half unbudgeted income is still going to capital shareholder value, and the other half, god only knows. Come on fair's fair, the next season budget has been set and it's written in stone. it can't be changed now just because a player wants to leave. It's just good fortune for the owners and their capital worth, for working so hard at the club.

And how much of that would Del see? feck all is the answer.

If he goes then he has to be replaced and that wont be cheap. Carey came alive when Reuben came into the team.

Howzabout "he want's to be nearer his family", always an aviva fave.

I think we might keep him because he might be a bit shit, actually. Wishy and washy, goes missing, isn't particularly fast and certainly not skilful in the context of the division higher.

For once we probably are the closest club to his family. As the crow flies.

Unfortunately crows don't offer a regular service to Portugal. Nor that we have an airport anyway.

Only in Brent's Argyle world could you hear that selling your best players is good business sense. We could really do with a shite season to wake the sheeple up.

Thing is if the money we got for him was able to be spent on a replacement it would be a tad better, but we know it wouldn't be hence the feeling we are getting shafted

I think there may be a bit of speculation by the press in this story.

If someone did stump up £300,000 (sounds like agents talk) it would go a long way to putting up Jimmy's ice shed, oh I forgot he is financing it with "family money". ld

Could the deal insist on ''upfront'' - just wondering?
