Rappo to be fair was the one that put the final Kibosh on HHP with his complaining to PCC about proposed charges to the park and ride.

PCC having proposed the charges to make Brents underground car park more viable! Very Happy

I hope the days of appeasement are over. The AFT need to be very clear about the difficulties they face with PAFC. They also need to tell Nool and his fellow Nooligans a few home truths - they cannot allow the continued abuse of the new board members.

Thank you for your comments Frank Bullitt, seadog and Earwegoagain. My first two years as AFT chair were certainly a learning curve. Mistakes were made and wrong choices taken at times. I guess it's how you learn from these experiences that count. I am delighted that Richard Blight has today agreed to be co-opted onto the AFT Board. Like John, Roger and Celia he will bring experience and presence.

Lets wait an see with the new aft chairmen, hopefully he wont be handing over cash to the GT'S without an invoice, or allow the Trust to be cowed by the Akkeron Fan Club, or loudmouthed Bigots.

Good luck Bob, a very strong board to work with too.

And respect for putting yourself forward to chair again too, despite criticism received last time.

Clean slate in order Smile

That's a welcome post argyledad. Things happen. Good luck to you. You and the others WILL be targeted, but you know that now.

Well done to steel cannon who re floated a sinking ship as best he could. No mean feat.

Christ they're getting bent all out of shape on JBSOTI.....Nool handed his arse once again. You'd think by now he would have learnt the outcomes with members who are somewhat brighter then himself.

Good call on Steely, Beezer. He kept the girl on course until the next watch.

Yep. Steely was great.

If Bob follows Steely's example we are in fine fettle.

If Bob follows his own previous form, we are fuked!

The AFT will only ever grow in membership and be a force to be reckoned with, IF it is prepared to stand up to the shareholders whenever necessary. Even if that means being ignored/sent to Coventry. Updates online and leaflets outside the ground at matches, clearly stating why the Trust is  in dispute/ being locked out by the owners, is the way to open eyes and build support for action. Anything else is a complete waste of time as the shareholders will simply turn their backs and carry on.
They only want a trust that bucket rattles and knows its place, just like their janner jamboys from the farm.

As all good true Tories, these people only want blind loyalty. Critical friendship or whatever it is called is not to be entertained. It really is the old squire/serf relationship with fans like Punchdrunk liable to expulsion from their tied cottage if daring to speak up against the estate modernisation and ask where the harvests are disappearing.

Nobody can argue that the funding isn't a good thing however the one main purpose of the Trust is to be a critical eye on the club and anything else is ancillary. It's a lot easier if the board of the club want to work with a Trust but like Tring says if they don't then we just carry on and point out to the fans what the problem is. Forelock tugging is bringing the club down its a feckin nightmare. The future of the club is more important than spoilt bastard JB having a tantrum, who cares?
