Preston forward Eoin Doyle is considering a loan move to Sky Bet League One side Plymouth, according to Sky sources.

Sky Sports News understands the clubs have agreed terms over a deal for the 29-year-old.

Doyle has not featured for Preston so far this season and is currently down the pecking order at the Championship club.

The Irishman spent the second half of last season on loan at Portsmouth, helping them win the Sky Bet League Two title.

Doyle will become Plymouth manager Derek Adams' 10th signing of the summer transfer window if he decides to make the switch to Home Park.

Some quotes from Preston

1 The sooner he is off the wage bill and being crap somewhere else the better.

If he is considering it is there anything we can do to help make up his mind? Maybe if we let Grimshaw go with him to keep him company

2 Fingers crossed it comes off

3 A quick whip round should raise enough funds for a 1-way train ticket for Doyle.

4 Lets hope this is correct and goes through

5 I hope he goes somewhere and finds a home/ club that suits him. He has spent too many seasons now on loan, he just needs to move on. I still think he has not really had a chance here but it is clearly not going to happen for him here

Just waiting now for Triple T. to remind us that Bradley was crap at eighty four club before he joined Jims Giants, and GC was shite at ninty six other clubs before he signed up for Argyle.
Another brilliant signing and all for less than two hundred quid. Sleep Sleep Sleep

300 games and 89 goals with his best spell in Lge 1 with Chesterfield where he bagged 32 in 69 games. Overall that's a reasonable record. As for Preston fans comments, well, fans of other teams generally say good riddance when someone moves on who maybe hasn't set their world alight. I think that every player DA has signed (except possibly Edwards) has received abuse from a previous club.
As I say to my twin sons (didn't I say there was 2 little TT's coming up behind .... affraid Laughing ) ... make up your own mind on people. A mate of mine (not Graiser, SS68 or Bees) did say that he thought it was Doyle or Ciftci and not both. We'll see.

I thought I'd seen it all but I certainly have now! Why on earth would you want to disregard his time at a club in order to make his record appear poor?
Perhaps his overall figures are well above the ''poundland'' criteria so by disregarding his time at Chesterfield you can just about shoe him into the ''poundland box'' I could add that prior to 2007 he hadn't scored at all!
If you disregard Argyle and Newport then King Tommy's record was not too good either. Laughing

Not sure if we were in for him, but he joined Oldham on loan.
