Now I know you squire lot probably own top of the range 4x4 with en-suite facilities, hot line phones direct to the farm and space for 4 body guards but mere peasants like me have to budget y'know. It's time to sell the 'toy' and get a 4x4 with a budget of £3k to £4K. It won't be used as a 4x4 as such but just a gas guzzling shopping trolley.
What to look for or, better, what to avoid! Thanks. (the bigger the better)

If it’s only being used for supermarket runs, why do you need a 4x4

I'd avoid the RR, doubt you'd get one on that budget anyhow. Had one for a while a few years back, hated it, like driving a caravan. Couldn't stand wallowing around so got rid.

Well, and the odd run to work (when I go) which is once / twice a week (15 miles). Being of mature years I'm going through my bucket list and under cars it says ''4x4'' so I'm selling my present 2 cars and getting only 1.
So far I've seen Nissan Pathfinder (reviews not that good), Warrior (advised get one after 2004), Ranger (OK) santa

The Dacia Duster is probably about the cheapest 4 x 4 you can get but I would imagine they hold their prices quite well so its difficult to pick up a bargain.

The Duster came 2nd in a recent poll for best 4x4 but, as you say, holding prices. Budget could be flex a bit. I'm in no major rush this side of Xmas santa so any advice is welcome. Thanks
