Road close up to ten weeks (4thSept)

A major Plymouth road expected to be closed for up to two-and-a-half months to allow for repair work to cables.

Plymouth City Council has warned driver they will not be able to turn left off Exeter Street towards Bretonside for ten weeks.

The road will be closed from Monday, September 4.

Am still tring to work out what they actually did that took a year opposite Morrisons at Outland rd.

They've royally fcked up the exit from Weston Park Rd turning right onto Outland Rd. It never ceases to amaze me how incompetent our Highways Dept ( or whoever it is making these decisions) are when it comes to our roads. You could land a couple of 747's simultaneously side by side in between Crownhill and Derriford roundabout now, there's that much tarmac been laid. It'll not make the congestion in that area any easier though once all the houses and development up there are done. In fact I have no doubt it'll get even worse.

And don't get me started on Carkeel roundabout at the top of Saltash. They've been pushing earth around on that roundabout for about two fuckin years...and for what??
