Plymouth Albion takes over Stonehouse Creek

The future of Stonehouse Creek Community Centre has been secured as it has been taken over by Plymouth Albion, it has been revealed.

The venue was at the centre of long-running row earlier this year when the social club behind it went into bust – effectively cancelling a series of weddings.

The lease, owned by Plymouth City Council, has now been handed to Plymouth Albion Rugby Club.

The club hopes to get the venue up and running in time for the run-up to Christmas.
