Not a bad monthly income and as said - "let's hope he is worth it this season".

Yer man between the sticks there is saying it was a massive boost to have Carey back on board.

Dare say Mrs C had some input on the decision about whether to uproot or make a home here.

Carey has settled football (barring injury or banned) for whatever length the contract really is, he will be as influential this season as last.

Locals just love to be told their neck of the woods is lubberly. Same old stuff. I'm sure the next home for the Careys will be just as pleasant.

5-6k a week for a top bracketed player in League1 would seem to be about bang on.

Whatever the salary or circumstances , it is a minor coup that he's chosen to stay.
