I was one of the few that rated Mellor.....seems many others do as well

Well done to them, a deserved accolade and hopefully their form will continue for the rest of the season.

Agree with most of that, but he did score three good goals for us.

Always decent offensively, but a full-back who was a defensive calamity getting in the team of the year is bonkers and demonstrates loud and clear just how shit this league is.

mellor was crap last season. when we played 3 5 2 he was effective as that formation suited his style of play. Blackpool's style suits his so fair play to him for making the best of it.

Well done to sonny and Graham more importantly. Both need to be locked down to longer deals in the summer carey mainly.

he was shit defensively an i say that having watched the majority of the games he played here.

Ah but I didn't say he didn't deserve to be in it, this year. I said it was bonkers. Much the same as Leicester winning a poor Premier League last year was bonkers, wasn't it?

Some players can improve immensely if given the right role surrounded by players that suit.
Conversely, excellent players can turn into horrors in the wrong environment.
A bit like life really.
