Motherwell now fan owned

Supporters group have bought the club for £1. Old owner is lending the club, interest free, the money to cover existing debts.

I have a set spot for Motherwell after going to see a game with the in-laws when ex-Argyle sicknote Keith Lasley was in midfield. I got quite into it, even rising from my seat in the old-school wooden stand to call the ref something unpleasant occasionally. They bossed the game but somehow contrived to lose to a last minute goal. The stadium announcer told us that the goal was scored by Dick Turpin, and I've looked out for them ever since. Fingers firmly crossed for them!
